ARISTOTELIS KE ANTHOULA 'SONNYBOY' 2023 ($39)
This interesting drop is made from a blend of Vermentino and Zibibbo grapes. It declares itself as 'Skinsy characteristics without a lot of tannins...slurps down easily'. The label colour and design are quite Barbie-like, currently very trendy & the presenting orange hazy cloudiness channels scrumpy ciders.
The nose and palate deliver a full-on punch of tropical lychee and passionfruit. The crisp acid palate grab would cut through spicy dishes. Ours worked just as well as a cocktail mix with muddled mint leaves and a splash of gin.
