Simples- yes? Well no a considerable number of Australia Pinot are mislabelled with some of the richer, broader wines being called Pinot Grigio when they should be labelled as Pinot Gris, and vice versa. This is really sad as it confuses consumers who expect their Grigio to be crisp and zingy only to find the wine is rich, more viscous and a bit creamy.
Well, there is no question of misnaming with today’s ripper wine the
Logan Wines 'LOGAN LAB' 2023 ORANGE N.S.W PINOT GRIS – Vegan friendly. This gorgeous wine has a very appealing bouquet of florals, pears and a hint of lemons. The palate is delightful, with generous, well-rounded, silky-smooth flavours, with just a dash of crisp acidity on the exquisite finish.
This is a brilliant example of exactly what an Aussie Pinot Gris should taste like- one of the best ones I have ever tasted!!
