The (declared) 14.5% Alc coats the palate and allows the top notes of the small floral Viognier component to tease and intrigue the senses.
This is a ripe, flavoursome, vibrant Fossil Hill Shiraz of value, grip and substance.
It is multilayered, smoothly robust and will deliver drinking enjoyment over the next five years or so.
We enjoyed ours with a slow-cooked lamb casserole.
