I have been a huge fan of the French white variety picpoul since doing a tasting of 43 of them in Carcassonne in 2018. First released in Australia in 2016 - today there are 25 producers. One of the best being the Yangarra Estate Vineyard 2025 Piquepoul. Beautiful fragrance of citrus with a hint of pear on the alluring bouquet. The palate is utterly gorgeous, tight, crisp yet with lashings of citrus flavours showing what a great variety this is. SUPERB!!
