An upfront release of mocha and pencil shavings greet the first pour.
Aromas and flavours reminiscent of macerated cherries and raspberries soon unfurl. A tight, earthy and leathery mid-palate support the abundance of rustic primary varietal savouriness.
The follow through is palate-warming and rewarding. We matched ours, slightly chilled, with a slow-cooked beef casserole.
