D'ARENBERG 2022 'THE ANTHROPOCENE EPOCH" MENCIA ($32 / McLaren Vale, SA) 

Deep dark purple, almost black in colour, Intense bouquet, steely with red berries and an inkling of dried herbs. The palate  is superb, rich, round with lashings of delightful flavours & a long lingering finish. OUTSTANDING 

P.S. Also tasted the 2021 & 2019 vintages and they are maturing ever so gracefully- Still big but more sophisticated
