This Chardonnay with already 6 years of barrel and bottle maturation defies its age. It still shows vibrancy of varietal fruit characteristics in the grapefruit / white peach spectrum, framed by enticing French oak-derived brioche like mid-palate.
The natural cool-climate acidity supports the overall grip and lingering pebbly mineral salinity of the whole assemblage. It ticks all of the boxes of a mature Chardonnay to be enjoyed now, especially with freshly shucked oysters.
